James
You jump up, “Sorry, Jay! Didn’t see you there!”
Do you never see me? That’s the fourth time you’ve done this week! And any guesses for the day? Monday.
You sat on me again, I’m sick of it. Do I not exist to you, Matt? Obviously not, if you insist on constantly
mistaking me for an empty chair.
I watch you with cold eyes as you settle yourself on the sofa, noting how you don’t sit on Charlie, who’s
also there. Why do you do this to me? You make me feel like I’m nothing… Why? Because we haven’t been the
same since Sunday…
What happened? You were acting normal until a random hottie kissed me. But that happens all the time? Why did it change
everything this time?
Matt
*Sunday night*
I smile at you as you cross the room towards me. I’m unusually sober for a change. We both are, we both promised
we wouldn’t have any alcohol tonight.
As you come over, a girl starts to talk to you, you smile at her and you begin to talk. I see it as friendly until
you lean in and kiss her.
I stiffen. Why’s is bothering me? It doesn’t normally! But my eyes narrow dangerously I watch you exchange
saliva with this random!
I wish you were doing it with me…
Shut up, head! I do not! I’m just drunk, that’s it! Not in control! But… I haven’t had any
alcohol tonight…
You break away from her and smile at her before coming over to me. “Well, she was pissed,” you say casually,
sitting next to me.
“Interesting…” I murmur, avoiding your gaze.
Why do I feel like you’ve betrayed me, Jay?
